Our objects and Focus


Our work is set out formally in our constitution. In plain terms, the Society exists to:

  • Advance the clinical care of, and research into, IBD and other inflammatory intestinal diseases in Singapore;
  • Provide a multidisciplinary platform for professionals to meet, collaborate, and learn;
  • Develop and share clinical guidance relevant to Singapore and the region;
  • Support research, including registries and collaborative studies;
  • Organise scientific meetings, CME, and educational programmes;
  • Support members’ professional development through education and mentorship;
  • Raise public awareness of IBD and its impact on patients and families;
  • Uphold ethical standards and good clinical practice; and
  • Foster collaboration with local and international partners.
